 Shape of Circus

Present:

Monday

“Monday” is a contemporary circus and dance inspired work by Shape of Circus, performed by six acrobats on a large, rocking apparatus. Rooted in expressive movement and choreographic storytelling, the piece blends dance, partnered acrobatics, and physical theatre to follow six interconnected lives. As their relationships unfold through motion, weight-sharing, and balance, Monday explores how our everyday actions ripple through one another, and how technology can quietly pull us away from genuine connection, both with the people we care about and the world we inhabit.

Run time: 90 minutes

+ Additional info

-Monday - The giant prop is called Alice. And this show started from a simple of idea of "Hey, this is cool", and transformed into the broad concept of " how can this not look like anything else we have done before." While still simple in nature, we have went from a show with one small prop, to a show with one small prop and one enormous prop.. ground breaking.
